Poetry Corner featuring Mark Bohrer

Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Mark moved to New England in 1982, and has made it home. He and his wife moved to North Andover in 1997 and raised their 2 children here.

He served as the town’s Poet Laureate from 2018 to 2023, and is currently on the town’s Poet Laureate committee.

He published Almost Whole, a book of collected poems in 2021, plus 5 chapbooks including A Good Inland Town, poems about North Andover and New England, and That Restaurant Near The Parthenon, poems about ancient and modern Greece.

He shares poetry on localpoet.substack.com. He hosts “Poetry and Coffee” on the first Saturday of every month (9AM.

The group meets around the table in the Huster Conf Room, just off Diane’s Café in the North Andover Historical Society, on Mass. Ave facing the Town Common.  You’re welcome to grab a cup and a bite, and pull up a chair!
