Author Leila Day Berry will be at the Purple Couch Bookshop on Sunday, July 13 at 1pm to read and sign copies of her new book How to Help a Polar Bear. Join us for this very special story time open to all ages.
The polar bears’ habitat is being destroyed by global warming, but your everyday actions can help make a difference. In singsong, engaging verse, How to Help a Polar Bear is a call to action that highlights the ways in which humans, animals, and the earth are all interconnected and how each small act can have a positive impact on future generations.
Leila Day Berry is a first-time children’s book author who is passionate about climate change and helping animals. She works as a licensed social worker, specializing in mental health. When not working, she enjoys being outdoors with her kids and is an avid traveler. Leila resides in New England with her husband, children and their dog.
