Sink into a good book.

North Andover and the surrounding Merrimack Valley have so much to offer. Here are some things we want to make sure you know are right in our back yard.

STEVENS MEMORIAL LIBRARY

If you haven’t been to the library lately, you are missing out. They have a full calendar of events for adults and children, including regular book groups and story hours as well as special events. They also have museum passes that can save you a lot of money while you are having great experiences with your family.

CROSSROADS MUSIC SERIES

This volunteer run organization puts on first-class, live music performances from September through June every year using the basement of North Parish Church right next to the Old Town Common. They’ve been doing it for more than 30 years! Click through for their current schedule and scroll to the bottom of their page to see some of the well-known names who have come through. There are Grammy Award winners, Juno Award winners, New England Music Award winners, and much more.

The North Andover Historical Society’s mission is to be a hub for culture, history, preservation, and community engagement. Using its multiple properties, the Society hosts programs and collects, preserves, and shares material that reflects the region’s identity, excites the imagination, and promotes a sustainable society. With its roots as a history-focused educational institution, the Society has been, and remains, an active and vibrant center of activity for those who call North Andover and the greater Merrimack Valley home.

FRIENDS OF NORTH ANDOVER TRAILS

This group works hard to take care of and promote the trails and open spaces in North Andover. Some of the trail locations may surprise you. Their volunteers are so knowledgeable and they have monthly guided hikes and many other events throughout the year. Even if you just need a local trail map, you should check them out.
